Well, even though I missed a day, I'm happy to be blogging again!... Today I went with Danae to Goshen College and she had her registration day (that's her 18 month pic to the left!) ... I commented to one of Danae's high school classmates parents at the first break, "isn't this a little fast! Didn't the girls just graduate like 2 weeks ago!" ... we laughed, but the truth is that times are changing, and my little girl is all grown up. (At least for the most part!)

It is so exciting to see her enthusiasm and joy as she has put her schedule together, envisions her room, walks around campus... wow, I think I'm gonna cry!!! But they're as much tears of joy as they are for the passing of another era in her life. I truly look forward to what God will do in and through Danae as she moves into this exciting stage of life!

As I close this blog I'm writing from the GC csmpus and all I can keep hearing in my brain is..."Ch-ch-ch-changes..." (sigh)

Peace!

Time for a cool change...

Well, it's day two(2) of blogging. I had At Least One person post an answer to the question in my last post... Good job Addie! I must have raised her well... at least musically! Feels like the first time... is from Foreigner!

This year my daughter Danae, and my nephew Josh, both graduated from high school (that's a pic of them after Josh's graduation) and they are both facing many changes in the coming months... summer jobs, then off to college... you could say it's their "time for a cool change!"

A couple weeks ago I had some life-changing news... I went to a pulmonologist (don't know if I spelled that right!) and I was tested for allergies and they set up a sleep study... well all the results are in and I go for a follow up appointment tomorrow and will likely be prescribed a CPAP machine, for sleep Apnea. I also found out that I'm allergic to several kinds of trees, grass, nearly every weed, dust mites and milk... Sooooo, there have been a number of changes that are in the works, many of which make me sad. We were told that opening the windows at night and getting the 'fresh' air... not a good choice for my ability to breath. We had to wrap the mattress in an allergenic plastic type wrap... it makes me sweat at night (But we've done a few things to make that better). I've been avoiding any food product with milk in it... did you know that "Non-Dairy" creamer has milk in it!!! Aaaagh! I've read more labels in the past couple weeks than I had in whole rest of my life.

I guess with all these things happening you could say it that for me it was also "Time for a Cool Change." and with that song quote, I'll end this episode... email me or facebook me with the name of the band who sings the song 'Cool Change.' Here's a hint... think down under...!

Peace,

Kent

It feels like the first time

Greetings!

So if you know me, you know that I often make reference to songs, or lines from songs, so it is fitting that my first blog on 'Just Kent' is titled after a song... but do you know the artist!? Email me at kemiller1964@gmail.com to see if you know!

I've wondered about starting a personal blog... Why would I? What purpose does it fill? Will anyone ever read it? ... even after pondering these questions, I decided to move forward and post things that enter my mind (that could be scary at times!); questions that we all face with life and faith; songs lyrics I may be working on; pictures and stories from my family (you know I'm a grandpa now!!!); or simply posting something to ponder for the day.

I hope you enjoy the posts... oh, and let me know if you'd like to hear me comment or write about a specific topic... I'm always up for the challenge!

I thought I'd finish this post with trying to put up a picture of my grand daughter Sophia...

Peace...

Kent
